Modules

Each module ends with a critique, not a quiz.

1. Journey inventory without vanity maps

List touchpoints, owners, and data gaps. Cut decorative arrows that imply certainty you do not have.

2. Model views in plain language

Compare last-touch, linear, position-based, and a simple data-driven sketch. Document trade-offs for finance.

3. The Attribution Canvas template

Assemble windows, exclusions, conversion definitions, and the single question the weekly pack must answer.

4. Visual hierarchy for dual views

Design side-by-side charts that invite comparison without implying one number is “true.”

5. Annotation and spoken walkthroughs

Write captions, footnotes, and a three-minute oral brief your CMO can interrupt.

6. Live pack critique & launch checklist

Ship a revised pack, receive instructor marks, and lock a 30-day improvement list.

Learning outcomes

  • Produce a documented multi-touch canvas your team can reuse each quarter.
  • Explain at least two attribution model views without collapsing into a single vanity KPI.
  • Rebuild a weekly dashboard with restrained color, clear hierarchy, and labeled caveats.
  • Run a stakeholder walkthrough that surfaces disagreements early.

FAQ

Do I need a specific BI tool?

No. Exercises accept Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI, or carefully structured spreadsheets. We grade clarity of story, not brand of software.

What is a real limitation of this course?

We do not train you to build production data pipelines or identity graphs. If your warehouse identity resolution is broken, the Canvas will document that gap — it will not fix engineering debt.

Are sessions recorded?

Live critiques are recorded for enrolled learners for 60 days. Office hours are not recorded to keep discussion candid.

Course reviews

The dual-view module stopped our “pick a winner channel” habit. We now present assisted paths and a conservative slice together.

Solid on narrative. The data-driven sketch week assumed more SQL comfort than I had — I scraped by with a teammate’s help.
